Profile
Founded in 2009, Marine Layer set out with a simple mission: to create the world’s softest clothing while minimizing the environmental impact of textile production. Through its innovative Re-Spun program, the company collects old tees, diverts them from landfills, and transforms them into new garments—giving each shirt a second life.
As of December 2022, Marine Layer has recycled over 575,000 t-shirts, equivalent to nearly 177,000 pounds of waste kept out of landfills. Looking ahead, the company is striving to become T-shirt neutral by 2025, meaning that for every shirt sold, one will be collected and recycled.
Comfort meets conscience—proving that sustainable fashion can feel as good as it looks.
